The following Youth football Board positions are open for the year 2012 season.
Elk River Youth Football Open Positions 2012
New Directors will be voted in at our next Board

President:
Position Role
. Ultimately responsible for management,
performance and oversight of ERYFA
Responsibilities
?
Oversee
all board activities.
?
Schedule
board meetings and establish agenda.
?
Facilitate
board meetings.
?
Represent
ERYFA in Area 728 Youth Football meetings and topics.
?
Establish
ERYFA mission, goals, and strategy.
?
Coordinate
goals with ER Varsity football program.
?
Act as
main point of contact for external organizations.
?
Work
with Rogers and Osseo and other conference teams to create game schedule and
field assignments.
?
Schedule
play-offs and bowl games (teams, dates, times, fields, ect.) with other conference teams.
?
Own the
ERYFA hotline and address questions.
?
Address
parent complaints.
?
Address
coach conduct issues.
?
Address
escalated player conduct issues.
?
Select/fill
board positions.
?
Attend
and participate in Board Meetings.
Vice President:
Position Role:
Responsible for supporting the President on ERYFA management,
performance and oversight.
Responsibilities
?
Provide
Support on President responsibilities.
?
Develop
and gain consensus on draft/evaluations/team selection procedures.
?
Oversee
and govern team selections and formations.
?
Manage
training, development, and support for coaches.
?
Improve
coaching performance.
?
Manage
player development and evaluations.
?
Establish,
coordinate, manage, and conduct football camps.
?
Improve
the overall performance of ERYFA players.
?
Attend
and participate in Board Meetings.
4th-6th Grade Director:
Position Role
Responsible for
coordination, management, and support for the 7th and 8th grade teams.
Responsibilities
?
Identify,
interview, and perform background checks on potential coaches.
?
Select
4th-6th grade team coaches.
?
Establish
4th-6th grade teams. Participate in the
team selection process.
?
Communicate
team rosters to coaches.
?
Participate
in coach training and development.
?
Coordinate
and manage logistics for after-school football.
?
Coordinate
and manage bussing for games as needed.
?
Manage
budget and expenses for 4th-6th grade football.
?
Address
4th-6th grade coach questions and issues.
?
Address
4th-6th grade team parents questions and issues.
?
Represent
Elk River in League meetings.
?
Attend
and participate in Board Meetings.
7th-8th Grade Director:
Position Role
Responsible for

managing, running, and promotion of all marketing/fundraisers for ERYFA,
including business donations, player fundraisers and raffle tickets.
Responsibilities

and conduct ERYFA marketing campaign..
?
Create
and place advertisements for registration into newspaper.
?
Coordinate
road signs for registration and other events.
?
Pursue
changing the local culture – make Elk River a “football city”.
?
Identify
and organize fundraising activities.
?
Establish
fundraising goals.
?
Advertise,
promote, and generate sponsors.
?
Collect
revenues and give them to the treasurer.
?
Attend
and participate in Board Meetings.
Hamburger Stand Director:
Position Role
Responsible for
managing and running the hamburger stand at varsity football games.
Responsibilities

Purchase
food.
?
Coordinate
staffing.
?
Manage
hamburger stand operations.
?
Manage
concessions at all special events.
?
Advertise,
promote, generate business.
?
Collect
revenues and give them to the treasurer.
?
Manage
equipment.
?
Attend
and participate in Board Meetings.
Apparel Director:
Position Role
Responsible for all
aspects of Apparel management. This
includes procurement, distribution, sales, inventory, storage, etc. Apparel includes t-shirts, hoodies, hats,
stickers,

Order and procure
apparel inventory.
Advertise, promote
and generate apparel business.
Collect sales and
give them to Treasure.
Attend and
participate in Board meetings.
Volunteer Director:
Position Role
Responsible for all
aspects of Volunteer hours management.
Responsibilities
Set up Volunteer
opportunities.
Advertise, promote
and communicate Volunteer opportunities
Manage Volunteer
hours on Website.
Attend and
participate in Board meetings

Where: Elk River High School Room #170. Meetings are open to everyone to observe! If you have concerns or would like to express a comment please do so during open mic.
